Russia Launches Strikes on Ukrainian Military Sites

(MENAFN) The Russian armed forces conducted an overnight assault targeting a military airfield and energy infrastructure within Ukraine, employing a combination of missiles and kamikaze drones, according to a report from Moscow’s Defense Ministry.

In a Saturday announcement, the ministry detailed that the operation involved precision-guided weapons deployed from air, land, and sea platforms, along with explosive-packed unmanned aerial vehicles.

The strike focused on a military airfield’s infrastructure as well as an energy facility responsible for providing fuel to Ukrainian troops stationed in Donbass.

Russian military officials stated, “The goal of the strike has been accomplished. All designated targets have been hit,” though they refrained from revealing the exact locations of these targets.

Additionally, in another statement released on Saturday, the ministry asserted that Russian aircraft, drones, missiles, and artillery had successfully destroyed multiple UAV manufacturing workshops and ammunition storage sites across Ukraine.
