In a statement issued Friday via media, a spokesperson from the General Staff of the Korean People’s Army criticized the extensive drill being conducted across land, air, and sea in South Korea. The spokesperson described the exercise as a reckless, large-scale war simulation, asserting that its purpose is to prepare for a sudden, preemptive attack on the DPRK.
The statement emphasized the dangerous nature of the exercise, which includes simulations of attacks on DPRK nuclear facilities and a series of military maneuvers and live-fire drills. The spokesperson argued that such actions pose a direct threat to the security of North Korea and exacerbate regional tensions.
The report also highlighted the participation of British warships in a joint maritime operation in the Pacific Ocean.
