NEWARK, DE, UNITED STATES, March 4, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ -- FieldBots, a leading platform for managing autonomous cleaning robots, announces the appointment of John Barrett to the advisory board of its Delaware-based entity responsible for the North American market. With this appointment, FieldBots completes the advisory setup for its two core regions: Europe, supported by Rainer Kenter, and North America, now represented by one of the most experienced figures in the global cleaning and facility services industry.— John Barrett
John Barrett brings more than three decades of executive and governance experience across the cleaning, facility services, technology, and association landscape. He most recently served as Executive Director of ISSA – The Worldwide Cleaning Industry Association from 2015 to 2025 and continues to support the association as Chairman Emeritus. During his tenure, ISSA significantly expanded its global reach, strengthened international collaboration, and played a central role in guiding the industry through structural change, digitalization, and increasing automation.
“Automation in cleaning is no longer a hardware question alone,” said John Barrett. “The industry’s real challenge lies in fleet-level coordination, operational transparency, and manufacturer-independent management. Platforms like FieldBots address exactly this gap. Their approach to fleet management creates the foundation needed to scale automation responsibly across the U.S. and North America. I also enjoy supporting young, ambitious companies at critical stages of their development, and in this case, the decision to engage was a straightforward one.”
FieldBots’ CEO, Alexander Feil, commented: “We are very conscious of John’s extensive commitments and demanding schedule, which makes his decision to join our advisory board particularly meaningful to us. His perspective, network, and deep understanding of the North American market will be instrumental as we expand FieldBots in the U.S. and beyond. The entire team is looking forward to working closely with him, and this appointment will certainly not be the last time our collaboration becomes visible.”
The addition of John Barrett further strengthens FieldBots’ strategic positioning as it supports operators, service providers, distributors and manufacturers in navigating the increasing complexity of autonomous cleaning robot deployments across multiple manufacturers, sites, and operational contexts.
