DefenseRyt launches no-cost pilot programs for ports, police and fire departments

FORT LAUDERDALE, FL, UNITED STATES, October 8, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ -- DotRyt Solutions announced Wednesday that it will roll out a series of no-cost DefenseRyt pilot programs in 2027 for select ports, law enforcement agencies, fire departments, emergency response organizations and critical infrastructure operators.

The pilots will test DefenseRyt, the company’s patent-pending situational awareness technology, in real-world operating environments and give participating agencies an opportunity to provide feedback on potential uses, workflows and deployment requirements.

DefenseRyt combines custom hardware and artificial intelligence to help public safety personnel locate people in environments where visibility, access or situational awareness may be limited.

The company said its core technology is already working in testing and has demonstrated the ability to detect through structures and identify physiological indicators, including breaths per minute.

“Everything we are building with DefenseRyt comes back to one mission: helping save lives,” said Ryan Timmons, CEO of DotRyt Solutions. “If we can give a port security team, police officer, firefighter or rescue crew better information about where a person may be before they enter a dangerous environment, that information can change the outcome of an entire response.”

The company said the initial pilot programs will focus on three primary areas: ports and maritime security, law enforcement, and fire and rescue.

For ports and maritime operators, DefenseRyt will be evaluated for its ability to identify potential human presence in and around cargo containers, structures and restricted areas. Potential applications include supporting human trafficking interdiction efforts, identifying occupancy in restricted areas and improving situational awareness for port security teams.

For law enforcement agencies, the pilot will examine potential uses in hostage and barricade situations, high-risk warrant service, tactical building searches, missing-person operations and occupancy awareness before officers enter a structure.

For fire and rescue departments, the program will focus on locating occupants inside burning structures, identifying potentially trapped or unconscious individuals, supporting search-and-rescue operations and improving awareness across multi-room or multi-floor environments.

The pilots are being offered at no charge to participating agencies.

“For us, saving lives also means protecting the people who run toward danger,” said Samir Ali, co-founder of DotRyt Solutions. “If we can help an officer understand what is on the other side of a wall before making entry, help a firefighter know where an occupant may be inside a burning building, or help a port security team identify a potential human trafficking victim, then we are giving responders another tool to make safer, faster decisions when every second matters.”

DotRyt said pilot participants may take part in controlled testing, operational evaluations and use-case development. Feedback from participating agencies will be used to help guide future product development and deployment planning.

DefenseRyt is being developed as an integrated public safety platform combining custom sensing hardware, AI-assisted analysis, mapping and real-time situational awareness. The company is also evaluating future integrations with wearable devices, drones, robotics and other autonomous systems.

DotRyt is currently selecting organizations for the initial 2027 pilot rollout.
